Medical Centre

The Medical Centre on campus offers a variety of services to students and members of the public. If you’re a new student make sure you register when you arrive, and get up to date with your vaccinations.

How to find us

The Medical Centre is located adjacent to Saltash Hall of Residence (see campus map).

There is pedestrian and wheelchair access from the front of the building. Car parking is for outside visitors only (see the car parking information page for information on campus parking regulations for Brunel students).

Opening hours

We are open between 8.30am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, all year round except bank holidays.

Appointment times: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 18:00.  

There are now appointments with GPs and nurses available to book outside of the standard GP practice opening hours. Ask at reception desks for availability.

 Students: There is no longer a walk in surgery, it is now an appointment system. Emergencies will still be seen the same day.  You will be asked by the reception staff what the issue is,  to enable them to make sure you have the correct appointment and with the correct clinician.
Sexual Health /Contraception appointments.  Emergencies will still be seen the same day but will be triaged
Nurses appointments: Monday -  9am - 12:30, Wednesday,Thursday 9- 16:30, Friday 13:00 - 17:30

Emergencies

For emergencies such as chest pains, abdominal pains etc. please call 999 or go straight to Hillingdon Hospital.

Out of hours service

If you need a doctor and the Medical Centre is closed and you require help please call 111 they will help and advise you on what you need to do, or call Car UK, our out of hours service on 0300 130 3018 .

Patient Participation Group.  We have had our first patient group meeting and will be publishing the minutes at the end of the month. January 2018

Complaints procedure

The Practice has a Complaints Procedure. If you are dissatisfied with the advice or services you receive, please email the Practice Manager, Yvette Biggs, or contact her by telephone on +44 (0)1895 266442, so that any misunderstandings can be quickly resolved.

FFT (Family and Friends Patient Survey) this is completed every month
